Job Description

Mspark, a leading print and digital media distribution company delivering results by connecting businesses to consumers in rural America, seeks a customer-focused and results-oriented professional to join our Customer Service team as an Account Manager (AM) based at our corporate office located in Helena, AL, a Birmingham suburb.  In this role, reporting to the Account Services Manager, you will be responsible for partnering with Mspark Account Executives to manage client relationships in an effort to provide exceptional client support.  The AM will also manage the internal execution of a client’s advertising program, which includes serving as the liaison with all internal departments and the first point of contact for clients.

A typical day in the life of the AM…is anything but typical. You may:

  • Field emails and calls from clients and Mspark sales representatives answering questions, resolving problems and/or seeking solutions to fit our clients’ needs.

  • Collaborate with Mspark sales representatives and clients on research projects to create presentations, interpret data and deliver data analysis through Excel documents and reports.

  • Participate in strategy discussions to improve the effectiveness our clients’ advertising campaigns.

  • Initiate new ads for your clients and work to get approval on existing ads.

  • Coordinate material delivery with our production facilities for pre-print clients.

Experience and Skills:

To be successful in this role you need to be skilled in customer service and sales support.  That means you take ownership for decisions and you strive to get better.  Our AMs manage a variety of projects simultaneously with multiple deadlines while staying organized and re-prioritizing throughout the day based on company and client needs.  You must to be able to communicate clearly and concisely over the phone, in person and through written communication both with internal partners (sales, marketing, operations, accounting, and the creative team) and our clients.  Our Account Services team use MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and in house data entry systems on a daily basis, so computer skills are also a must.
