  • Ensuring correct versions are run on each job by verifying versions against job assignment sheets, quality control board, and QC time stamp pulls.
  • Assist in set-up and adjustment of machinery, using proper placement of personnel to achieve efficiency, quality, output and product flow. Machine output standards should be attained and maintained.
  • Assist with training/supervision of part-time machine personnel to ensure proper processing procedures are followed. Oversee crew members on their respective line to ensure execution of these procedures.
  • Preview jobs to ensure all necessary materials are on the line prior to end of previous job and pockets are set up in advance when available to avoid unnecessary down time.
  • Assist management with recommendations on personnel issues including line transfers, safety compliance and performance evaluations.
  • During production, make minor machine repairs within personal scope of knowledge and reports any other machine repairs which may be needed to technical/maintenance department.
  • Assist in maintenance, clean-up, and refurbishing of machinery during non-production periods.
  • Communicate and coordinate with copy department and QC personnel to ensure maximum run time and quality.

This is a great position for someone who wants to work 10-11 days a month in a climate controlled facility. In addition to the hourly pay, additional income can be earned through attendance and referral bonuses.

The successful candidate will possess previous experience working within a fast-paced production based environment, with a strong attention to detail. The ability to operate a forklift is a plus. Generally, the day shift is 6:30a.m. to 5:30p.m. and night shift is 5:00p.m. to 4:30a.m. during the 2-week production period. Overtime may be required during production periods.

Experience and Skills:

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; ability to regularly lift/move up to 30 pounds. Being bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
